My husband and I did the bus and Dundurn Castle tour and I must say, it was pretty awesome. Tyler (I think?) the bus guide was funny, and a great storyteller. The tour is done in a comfy coach bus with washrooms if you need them. Either way, my favorite part. The Dundurn Castle tour was interesting, but not “ghostly” and it’s more self guided than anything. And lastly, Geoffrey was one of my favorite parts as well! He’s such a great storyteller. I was hesitant, but it turned out to be awesome. I’ll be doing a few other area ones now in the future!

These Ghost Walks are great. What a fantastic group of guides, Tyler in particular. The walks are interesting and entertaining, reasonably priced, and informative. I highly recommend the Hermitage walk, but downtown Hamilton was fun and the Dundas one was an exceptional adventure.

We went on the Dundas ghost tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. He was a great story-teller. We had a few folks on our tour who used walking aids, and he made a point to check in on them and keep the pace steady, while making sure the tour went on as expected. I would definitely book another tour!

Went on the Dundas ghost walk with my 2 kids which included a stroller. Awesome ghost guides - Victoria and Margo! They knew how to relay the stories and keep the audience hooked! My son is still talking about it! Can’t wait to go on more tours!

GHOST GUIDE TYLER IS A 11/10. We attended the Ghost Walk at the Hermitage and it was amazing. Our ghost guide, Tyler, was phenomenal, better than I ever could have expected! Tyler was very articulate, and really leaned into the whole experience while engaging with the crowd. He was such a good fit for this -- while guiding us in the dark, he always swung his lantern in an ominous and clearly-in-character way!!! I didnt see any other guides doing that (as we passed a couple of other groups). We learned a lot of great history and we were able to go into the gate house where they have tons of information regarding the land, what the house and property looked like before, family tree information, it was very informative. Tyler definitely made this experience worth every bug bite lol - I am definitely looking forward to attending other walks in the future.

Tyler was great. Perfect balance of ghost stories and historical anecdotes about Hamilton. The site with pictures of the past was the perfect addition to his storytelling along the walk.

Really enjoyed our walk with Daniel. Hamilton has such a fascinating history and it was interesting to hear about some of the ghosts who may still inhabit the older buildings.

Is this a Jump-Scare or Traditional Tour?

It’s a normal Traditional Ghost Tour through the woods. Featuring a trained storyteller speaking of legends, interesting history and ghost stories. This is not a scare “haunted house” tour. Note, we may have characters, but no jump scares.

Why are dates and times missing when booking?

When a date or time slot is missing in the Booking… If a missing time, that tour time is sold out.  A missing date, means the entire night is sold out.

Legend of Ancaster

The Hermitage Ruins

The ruins of an old mansion exist in the historic town of Ancaster (now part of Hamilton).  For generations countless thrill-seekers have visited in search of ghosts.  Home to the paranormal but also dark ritual.  Maybe that’s why the land is cursed!

Cursed Nature

You don’t need to be psychic to feel it. When walking up the hill towards the ruins. A heaviness weighs down on you. Adults can push these dreadful feelings aside, say it doesn’t exist. Animals are different, possessing a sixth sense we’ve lost with evolution. On conservation land, but animals stay away from the path and ruins.

The Legend of Lover’s Lane

Maybe it begins with a legend.  Known in this region simply as “Lover’s Lane”. So famous, there’s a street named after it…

Should I book in advance?

Yes.  We are limited on space for tours.  Advance bookings allows us to guarantee spots for you, and book in additional guides if needed.
