I’ve gone a couple of these ghost walks now and they’re so much fun. You learn a lot of history as well as ghost stories. The historic buildings and ruins you get to see on the tours are so fascinating. I can’t wait to book another ghost walk!
Great experience, very well organized, great atmosphere, the guides are knowledgeable and clearly enjoy doing their job. Highly recommended.
We finally got to do the Dundurn Bus Tour! We have tried for a few years but tickets always sell out fast. Ghost guide Tyler was our host on the bus and the bus tour was awesome. It was dark and hard to see some places, but being local we had a better idea of where to find these haunted places on our own later. The stores Tyler told us and the manner in which he tells them are perfect.

Tyler took us back to Dundurn Castle for the last part of the tour. The castle staff was very informative and the castle was even better than I had imagined.

Ghost guide Geoffrey had some more stories for us the end the evening outside.

All in all it was a wonderful evening of ghost stories and history.
Nice night ghost coach bus tour of Hamilton. Interesting facts about Hamilton. Stories somewhat eerie. Visit of Dundurn castle was pleasant. For Halloween I'd make it more eerie somehow. Adding more explanations of what each room was used for possibly would be helpful . Overall a decent experience.
my husband and I had the most incredible time on our walking tour will Gill. He is a wonderful storyteller and so knowledgeable about the history and lore of each place. I 💯 recommend The Ghost Walks.
We did the Dundas ghost walk with Daniel and we loved it! Daniel managed to quick put us back in time with a short history intro and he managed to keep us there throughout whole evening. We had a great time!
We really enjoyed the October ghost tour in Hamilton!
I went on the Dundas ghost walk tour last night with a friend and we really enjoyed it. Very cool and spooky stories and our guide was very charismatic and funny
Well organized tour, lots if interesting Hamilton history lessons, wish there had been more ghost story telling during the bus tour.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
Fantastic experience! My family and I have lived in Hamilton Ontario for all of our lives, and never knew half of the history as what we were told on our tour! Very thorough and "edge of your seat" experience! My family and I can't wait to explore the other locations! The bus tour was great... Dundurn Castle is absolutely gorgeous..
Always super fun. We’ve been going for years and they always are changing up locations and stories. Wouldn’t be spooky season without them.
I really enjoy attending Haunt Walks tours. I am interested in the darker history of Ontario. I like the added touch of interviews of real experiences of people who worked in the buildings. I would also like to add the First Nations history of the land to the tours especially war of 1812.
I went with a group of friends on the Hermitage ruins tour and it was fun and spooky experience. Erin was a great storyteller and we had a lovely time speaking with her on the way back!
Ghost Guide Tyler made our walk at the Hermitage Ruins a ton of fun. Even on a rainy October evening, spirits were high.

FAQ & Interesting Info

Why we are different from other Tours?

A focus on masterful storytelling at a reasonable price (with no hidden fees!).  First, we’ve put special attention into respecting the ghost story.  Also, with a dedication to traditional styles mixed with natural (and interesting) odd history.  This is our specialty since 2003.

Reviews | What people are saying…

See Google & Facebook Reviews above

Is this a Jump-Scare or Traditional Tour?

It’s a normal Traditional Ghost Tour through the woods. Featuring a trained storyteller speaking of legends, interesting history and ghost stories. This is not a scare “haunted house” tour. Note, we may have characters, but no jump scares.

Why are dates and times missing when booking?

When a date or time slot is missing in the Booking… If a missing time, that tour time is sold out.  A missing date, means the entire night is sold out.

Are you connected to HH for Hamilton Tours?

No. There was a connection a few years back for promotion only. Ended in 2012. All Hamilton based, and other tours, originated from our same love of ghost stories starting with Downtown Hamilton in 2003.

Legend of Ancaster

The Hermitage Ruins

The ruins of an old mansion exist in the historic town of Ancaster (now part of Hamilton).  For generations countless thrill-seekers have visited in search of ghosts.  Home to the paranormal but also dark ritual.  Maybe that’s why the land is cursed!

Cursed Nature

You don’t need to be psychic to feel it. When walking up the hill towards the ruins. A heaviness weighs down on you. Adults can push these dreadful feelings aside, say it doesn’t exist. Animals are different, possessing a sixth sense we’ve lost with evolution. On conservation land, but animals stay away from the path and ruins.

The Legend of Lover’s Lane

Maybe it begins with a legend.  Known in this region simply as “Lover’s Lane”. So famous, there’s a street named after it…

Should I book in advance?

Yes.  We are limited on space for tours.  Advance bookings allows us to guarantee spots for you, and book in additional guides if needed.
