The following ghostly experience with EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) was shared with Ghost Guide Daniel of the Ghost Walks. Happening in a residential home in the Country of Australia.

I wanted to share one of the eeriest experiences I’ve ever had. Happened in a house I lived in while renting in Australia.
From the very beginning, the place had strange energy. Both my partner and I started noticing things we couldn’t explain.
Most disturbingly, we heard each other’s voices echoing from other rooms. And even different floors! Always when we we’re home. As if something was mimicking us.
The voices sounded like us, but just … off. Muffled, like hearing through a wall or over a bad phone connection. It was familiar but couldn’t make out what was said.
Not once or twice. Happened so much we dreaded being alone in the house.
Not Just Voices
One night, it escalated to noises. My partner called me. She was completely panicked. And convinced I had come home early from work. Hearing the same noises of me coming into the house, closing the door and kicking off my shoes.
She ran downstairs to greet me. And there was nobody. The door closed and locked just as when she’d come in earlier.
Freaking out over the phone. It took me a while just to make sure she didn’t leave the house for good that night.
Capturing the Voice
After that, I decided capture what was going on.
While sleeping, I left my iPhone running overnight using the Voice Memos app. Letting it record for eight hours straight. Then looking for audio spikes, or anything which might show sounds.
And I wasn’t disappointed. Below is a clip of what was captured. For context, there was nobody near the iPhone.

To me, it sounds like a female voice. After listening many times, I’m fairly certain it’s saying either, “kiss him” or “kill him.”
I lean towards “kiss him”, since can clearly hear the S sounds.
Stirred up Energy
What makes it more interesting (and maybe heavier) is this all happened near the end of my relationship with her.
There were tensions between my partner and me at the time, which led to a lot of personal distress. I sometimes wonder if the emotional energy amplified things. Or maybe attracted something.
