It’s not like the Horror movies! Instead, it’s an invasion of the senses by an outside force. Causing temporary paralysis and fear.
The following happened during a Ghost Hunt event over 10 years ago…

From in the Custom House
This all took place many years ago, during a two-month period that included two intense Ghost Hunts inside this very haunted building – The Custom House in Hamilton.
Back then, these hunts were regular events where ordinary people could gather for organized paranormal investigations. On this particular night, the event was sold out – around 50 people in total.
I arrived early to set up, but realized I had forgotten something in my car. I stepped outside through the front door, only to find that I had to engage the deadbolt lock manually, as there was a lock bar on the inside. I didn’t want to get locked out.
I walked to the driveway on the left side of the building (as seen in the image), and about halfway back, something, or someone, told me to look up.
From inside the empty building, something turned the deadbolt lock, slamming the door shut and locking me out!
It Escalates During the Night
Later that night, the elevator stopped working, forcing us to use whatever chairs we had, and half the group ended up standing. The tools we used were going crazy – the energy in the building was off the charts.
All of this led to the seance. Picture this: 50 people standing in a perfect circle around the communication device, a Ouija Board.
The energy that came through was clear. It was the “Dark Lady”, the infamous main ghost of the building and the oldest known ghost in Hamilton. And she was angry.
The letters on the board began to circle, showing her power. I tried talking to her, but she ignored me.
Then, someone shouted, “Daniel, look!”
I looked up and saw a young girl begin to shake violently. Her arms were locked at her sides, she couldn’t move.
Later, I found out this was a real case of possession. The psychic jumped into action to perform a clearing ritual, and I ended the night.
Only one month later … we returned to confront the Dark Lady again.

Sadly not for a few years now. Hopefully they’ll allow us to return one day.
